This wine was definitely a great representation of the grape. Fragant, floral, citrus aroma, complemented well with a great acidity.
#71 Touriga Franca – 429 grapes left
I haven’t had a wine with a nose that enamored me like this in a long time.
#70 Fiano – 430 grapes left
This wine behaved just like I’ve read about this DOCG. They are elegant, subtle yet crisp wines.
#69 Nero d’Avola – 431 grapes left
It’s one of those wines that even though it’s dry it can confuse people because of the presence of the fruit.
#68 Catarratto – 432 grapes left
Every time I read this grape’s name I laugh a little on account of it sounding like a spanish word for the flu (catarro).
#67 Xinomavro – 433 grapes left
It was dry, it had high acidity, it was tannic, but I dare not say it was full body .
#66 Nerello Mascalese – 434 grapes left
I’ve read people compare this grape to a burgundian pinot noir.
#65 Aligote – 435 grapes left
It was delicate, it was nuanced, almost timid but it had an elegant aroma.
#64 Grenache Blanc – 436 grapes left
Incredible acidity, overpowering even. It craved for food from the moment that I opened it.
#63 Dornfelder – 437 grapes left
Pronounced nose with black fruit. Neither dry nor sweet but I did crave a chocolate bar as I drank it.
